GAME RULES
The Objective
The objective of the game is to the contestant to progress through Astronaut training and strive to become the winner, who will then be the captain of Apollo Xtreme as it makes a trip to the moon. The runner-up will also get to be a passenger aboard Apollo Xtreme.
Selection of Contestants
During the first week, about 38 people are selected, taken to the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama and placed on a modified KC-135 aircraft, which is also known as the "vomit comet". The aircraft takes them to an altitude of 35,000 feet and drops them for 20-30 seconds to 24,000 feet. The candidates experience a period of "weightlessness" during that time. Whoever remains stable (doesn't vomit) will remain until there are 8 contestants left. Those people must demonstrate:
EXPERIENCE / POTENTIAL MOTIVATION TEAMWORK COMMUNICATION SKILLS ADAPTABILITY
Those contestants will remain in the show until they become eliminated by a score consisting of audience's votes on the Internet and the Commander's evaluations. The Commander
The Commander is the head judge and authority of the progress of the program. At the end of each week, the commander evaluates all contestants based on their class performance, activity results and overall improvement. This report along with the audience votes is used to decide which contestant will be eliminated at the end of the week. The Commander will also travel along with the Grand winner and the runner-up during their trip to the moon.
